What will I learn in the 8-hour class?
You will learn about Michigan’s concealed carry laws, firearm safety, proper handling techniques, self-defense tactics, and how to carry responsibly. The course also includes a live-fire session at a range where you'll practice safe shooting techniques.
Do I need to bring my own firearm?
You don’t need to bring your own firearm to the class. We provide rental firearms for the live-fire session. However, if you have a firearm you'd like to use, feel free to bring it along. Just make sure it’s unloaded when you arrive.
Will I receive a certificate at the end of the course?
Yes! Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL) training certificate that meets the state’s requirements for applying for a concealed carry permit.
What should I bring to the class?
Please bring a photo ID, your payment confirmation, and a willingness to learn! We’ll provide all other materials, including course handouts and firearm rentals (if needed).
Can I take the class if I live outside of Michigan?
Yes, you can take the class if you're visiting Michigan or planning to reside here. Just make sure you meet the eligibility requirements for applying for a Michigan CPL.
